There, on Rowan Street stood the Corporate Headquarters for the North Carolina Natural Gas Company. It was Fayetteville's biggest, locally owned corporation.
For fifty years the citizens of Fayetteville and Southeastern North
Carolina could count on great Customer Service from the people who
worked at 150 Rowan Street. Well, the NCNG Gas Company has left us, but
the people who are now at The Gas House will give you the same super service, but they'll give you a completly different product.
Antiques, Furniture, Collectibles and Gifts abound in a fun setting.
Right now over 8,000 square feet of space is brimming with an amazing
assortment of items, big and small, but all unique.
The Gas House
( like it's sister store - The Cotton Exchange) is the anti-mall store.
Here you'll find what you never see at the typical mall store. Church
windows, cast iron decorator pieces, crystal and pictures from a bygone
era, just a few of the treasures you'll discover.
And the fun part is that every day the inventory changes as new items
arrive and others are purchased. The assortment grows each day, because
we have several dozen men and women who do nothing but hunt for items
that will make you say " Wow, look at this!"
Have a fun visit to The Gas House Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. See you Downtown!
Watch for the renovations at the Gas House. A new front for a great old building!
